Vice President Vance is expected to depart for Islamabad Tuesday morning for
talks with Iran on a potential deal to end the war, according to three U.S.
sources. The visit comes as a ceasefire nears expiration, while President Trump
has threatened renewed strikes on Iranian infrastructure if no agreement is
reached, though he may extend the deadline if progress emerges. Tehran initially
delayed sending negotiators amid internal pressure, but reportedly received
approval from the supreme leader Monday night. Trump envoys Steve Witkoff and
Jared Kushner is also expected to join the talks in Islamabad.
