Maleki, a member of the Iranian Parliament's National Security Committee, stated: "Our Foreign Minister announced that Iran would open the Strait of Hormuz to commercial vessels, in accordance with the preliminary framework reached. However, this action was met with hostile actions from the US, which continued its maritime blockade. These factors combined prevented the negotiating team from traveling to Islamabad."
