Meta Platforms is preparing to unwind its acquisition of AI startup Manus after
Chinese authorities blocked the deal, sources told the Wall Street Journal.
Manus founders would leave Meta as part of the reversal, while complex investors
payouts and technical integration could complicate the process. Beijing has
reportedly set a preliminary deadline of several weeks to undo the transaction.
Some former investors are said to be willing to cooperate if the unwind
proceeds.
