Oil prices were mixed in early trading as markets assessed developments around the Strait of Hormuz. The Wall Street Journal reported that Iran has offered to halt attacks in the strait in exchange for an end to the war and a lifting of the US blockade on Iranian ports, citing officials familiar with the matter. President Donald Trump and his national-security team remain skeptical of the proposal. ANZ Research analysts said ongoing exchanges suggest both sides remain far apart, making an imminent resolution unlikely.
