The Canadian government has announced that the budget deficit for fiscal year 2025/26 is projected to be C$66.9 billion, compared to a forecast of C$78.3 billion in November of last year; the budget deficit for fiscal year 2026/27 is projected to be C$65.3 billion, compared to a forecast of C$65.4 billion in November of last year; and the deficit for fiscal year 2027/28 is projected to be C$63.1 billion, compared to a forecast of C$63.5 billion in November of last year.
