China holds the world’s largest reserves in 14 key minerals, including rare earths, tungsten, tin, molybdenum and antimony, according to the Ministry of Natural Resources. The country also leads globally in mining production and smelting capacity, with total mining output reaching about 32.7 trillion yuan in 2025, accounting for over 23% of GDP, Xinhua reported.
