Donald Trump said the US will maintain a maritime blockade on Iran until a
nuclear deal is reached, rejecting Iran’s proposal to first reopen the Strait of
Hormuz and lift the blockade while delaying nuclear talks. He said the blockade
remains until US concerns over Iran’s nuclear program are addressed, adding it
is “more effective than bombings.” The report also said CENTCOM has prepared a
“short and powerful” strike plan against Iran.
