China’s foreign minister said in a meeting with Iran’s foreign minister that the
US-Israel war against Iran is “illegal” and “illegitimate,” and added that China
is ready to continue efforts to reduce tensions. He said the region is at a
critical turning point, direct dialogue is necessary, and a full ceasefire is
essential and unavoidable. Iran’s foreign minister said the conflict is an act
of aggression and a clear violation of international law, adding that Tehran
only accepts a fair and comprehensive agreement.
