At midday closing, most domestic futures contracts declined, with low-sulfur fuel oil (LU) and crude oil falling over 6%, ethylene glycol, methanol, styrene, and paraxylene falling over 5%, BR rubber, plastics, benzene, and PTA falling over 4%, and propylene, bottled chips, staple fiber, fuel oil, polypropylene, liquefied petroleum gas, and asphalt falling over 3%. On the upside, Shanghai silver and Shanghai tin rose over 4%, polysilicon and platinum rose over 3%, and caustic soda, palladium, and industrial silicon rose over 2%.
