U.S. stock futures rose Friday, led by gains in semiconductor shares including
Nvidia, Micron and Qualcomm, ahead of payrolls data expected to show moderate
hiring growth. S&P 500 futures gained 0.5% and Nasdaq 100 futures rose 0.7%,
while oil held near $95 a barrel as the Iran ceasefire largely held despite
clashes near the Strait of Hormuz. Investors also reacted positively to a
federal trade court ruling against President Donald Trump’s 10% global tariffs.
