OpenAI launched OpenAI Deployment Company (DeployCo) to help organizations build
and deploy AI systems, with the partnership led by TPG and Advent, Bain Capital,
and Brookfield serving as co-lead founding partners; DeployCo will be
majority-owned and controlled by OpenAI and launch with more than $4 billion in
initial investment. OpenAI also agreed to acquire Tomoro, with the deal expected
to bring about 150 forward deployed engineers and deployment specialists to
DeployCo.
