President Donald Trump said trade will be the main focus of his summit with
Chinese President Xi Jinping, downplaying discussions on the Iran war. “We’re
going to be talking to President Xi about a lot of things. I would say, more
than anything, trade," Trump told reporters Tuesday at the White House. He
added, “I wouldn’t say Iran is one of them… we have Iran very much under
control.” Trump emphasized his strong relationship with Xi and said the two
sides will discuss extending last fall’s trade truth.
