US stocks advanced Thursday as renewed enthusiasm for AI shares and the Trump-Xi
summit lifted markets. The Dow rose more than 450 points, or 0.9%, reclaiming
50,000 for the first time since February, while the S&P 500 gained 0.8% above
7,500 and the Nasdaq climbed 1%. Nvidia jumped more than 4% after reports the US
approved H200 chip sales to Chinese firms. Cisco also gained following quarterly
results and an AI restructuring plan.
