US stocks fell Friday as a surge in Treasury yields and inflation concerns
pressured markets ahead of Nvidia earnings next week. The Nasdaq dropped 1.5%,
led by a 4% decline in Nvidia shares, while the S&P 500 fell 1.2% and the Dow
Jones Industrial Average lost 530 points. The 10-year Treasury yield climbed to
4.59% and the 30-year yield reached 5.13% during a broader global bond selloff.
Investors also monitored the Trump-Xi summit in Beijing, which produced business
agreements involving companies including Boeing and Nvidia, while tensions over
Iran and Taiwan remained in focus.
