At midday closing, most domestic futures contracts rose, with container shipping to Europe up over 8%, eggs up over 3%, rapeseed oil and tin up over 2%, nickel up nearly 2%, and stainless steel (SS), palm oil, asphalt, polysilicon, and urea up over 1%. On the downside, palladium and platinum fell over 2%, polyvinyl chloride (PVC) fell 2%, and synthetic rubber, silver, and gold fell nearly 2%.
