U.S. stocks rose sharply Wednesday as oil prices declined and Treasury yields
retreated ahead of earnings from Nvidia. The S&P 500 gained more than 1%, the
Nasdaq climbed 1.5%, and the Dow added about 600 points. Markets rebounded after
a recent bond selloff driven by persistent inflation concerns could push the
Federal Reserve toward rate hikes. Oil posted its biggest one-day drop in a
month after Donald Trump said the U.S. was nearing an agreement with Iran.
Investors are expecting a roughly 5.5% post-earnings move in Nvidia shares,
according to Bloomberg.
