Advanced Micro Devices pledged to invest more than $10 billion in Taiwan to expand partnerships and increase chip packaging capacity amid rising AI demand. AMD said it is working with partners including ASE Technology Holding, Powertech Technology, Sanmina and Inventec. CEO Lisa Su said customers are rapidly scaling AI infrastructure, as AMD benefits from growing demand for alternatives to Nvidia AI processors.
