A Reuters poll shows that 14 of 27 economists expect the Reserve Bank of New Zealand (RBNZ) to raise the official cash rate to 2.50% or higher by the end of the third quarter; the median forecast for the official cash rate at year-end is 2.75% (compared to 2.50% in the April survey). 28 of the 29 economists expect the RBNZ to keep the cash rate at 2.25% on May 27.
