Oil prices declined in early Asian trading amid prospects for the reopening of
the Strait of Hormuz, a key shipping route that typically handles about
one-fifth of global oil flows. The Wall Street Journal reported, citing a US
official, that there is an agreement in principle under which Iran would reopen
the waterway. President Donald Trump said Sunday he was in no hurry to finalize
an end-of-war agreement with Iran.
