At the close of the morning session, domestic futures contracts showed mixed results. Coking coal and coke hit their daily limit up, while wire rod, silver, soybean meal, and ferrosilicon rose by more than 2%. Offset paper, manganese silicon, and soda ash rose by nearly 2%. On the downside, fuel oil, SC crude oil, and low-sulfur fuel oil (LU) fell by more than 7%, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), paraxylene, and bottled PET chips fell by more than 5%, and PTA, staple fiber, benzene, ethylene glycol, and methanol fell by more than 4%.
