At midday closing, domestic futures contracts showed mixed results. Eggs rose over 4%, container shipping to Europe rose over 2%, and fiberboard, red dates, glass, and soybean meal rose over 1%. Alumina and staple fiber rose nearly 1%. On the downside, silver and lithium carbonate fell over 3%, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and polysilicon fell nearly 3%, and platinum fell over 2%.
