Tianjin Daily reported that on May 27 Tianjin Party Secretary Chen Min'er held
talks with Geely Holding Group Chairman Li Shufu and his delegation. Chen,
speaking on behalf of the Tianjin Municipal Party Committee and municipal
government, welcomed Li and his party to Tianjin to attend the 2026 World
Intelligent Industry Expo. He said, looking toward the 15th Five-Year Plan, he
hopes Geely will strengthen cooperation with Tianjin on new-energy vehicle
production, manufacturing and operations, expand effective capacity,
continuously open up markets and strive to generate incremental growth from
existing stock. Chen said the city will leverage its location, port, industrial
and science-and-education resource endowments, continue to optimize the business
environment, ensure provision of scenario resources, promote development,
application and rollout of new technologies and products, and pursue mutual
benefit and shared development.
