Recently, Futu and Changqiao carried out a cleanup of accounts opened using
falsified supporting documents and of empty accounts with no assets or
positions, and closed both categories of accounts. At the same time, the Futu
NiuNiu app added an "Update Identity Information" quick-access entry under the
"Account" tab and issued an accompanying "About Updating Identity Information"
notice, advising clients that if they hold qualifying overseas identity
documents, once the information update is completed their account trading, funds
deposits and withdrawals and other services and functions will not be affected.
