MediaTek will exhibit co‑packaged optics (CPO) technology at Computex 2026
supporting 400 Gbps per fiber, and MicroLED optical technology for active
optical cables (AOC) used in data‑center interconnects; the MicroLED solution
can be monolithically integrated into CMOS transceivers compatible with existing
data‑center equipment, offers copper‑like reliability and can reduce power
consumption by 50%. MediaTek will also present two new 6G technology concepts —
'6G wireless access interoperability' and '6G device collaborative
multi‑antenna' — the latter allowing phones or wearables to aggregate signals
from other indoor 6G devices and increasing network downlink throughput by more
than 60%.
