At the Shenzhen Stock Exchange 2026 Global Investors Conference, SZSE director
Chang Shayan said the exchange’s ChiNext board—China’s earliest specialized
board established to support technological innovation—has, after 16 years of
reform and development, grown to 1,398 listed companies with a combined market
capitalization exceeding 21 trillion yuan. High‑technology enterprises account
for about 90% of listings and strategic emerging‑industry companies about 70%.
Chang said ChiNext has attracted and nurtured a large cohort of leading
technology firms that have achieved leapfrog development and has formed four
industry‑chain clusters with trillion‑yuan‑level market values in new‑generation
information technology, new energy, biopharma and high‑end equipment
manufacturing.
