On May 28 the company said Taobao Flash Sale is upgrading food-safety controls. The platform has expanded its riders' 'snap' photo-reporting mechanism to 48 cities nationwide and established routine case-referral channels with local market regulators. From June 1 the platform will subject newly onboarded catering merchants to multi-dimensional substantive verification.
