Iran's supreme leader on the 28th issued written remarks urging preservation of
national unity and social cohesion, raising parliament as an expression of
national will and thanking MPs and the speaker for their development efforts. He
said Iranians showed unity, faith and resilience in recent conflicts and that
preventing political and social fragmentation is a top priority. He warned
external adversaries continue to apply military, economic and propaganda
pressure aimed at sowing division and weakening Iran, and urged political elites
and legislators to defend national unity.
