The EU Council said on May 28 it will impose sanctions on four Israel-related
entities and three individuals, citing their responsibility for serious human
rights violations against Palestinians in the Israeli-occupied West Bank. The
designations target Israeli extremist settler organizations, groups that support
settlers and associated leaders. The Council also expanded restrictive measures
on Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad, adding 10 Hamas politburo members to the
EU sanctions list.
