On May 27 National Development and Reform Commission vice‑chair Zhou Haibing met
with Germany's Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy Lai Xie. They
discussed China’s 15th Five‑Year Plan, Sino‑German macroeconomic trends, a
China‑Germany climate and green‑transition dialogue mechanism, and China‑EU
economic ties. Zhou said that during the 15th Five-Year Plan period China will
continue to pursue high‑quality development, steadily expand high‑level
opening‑up and accelerate a comprehensive green transition, and welcomed German
firms to deepen their presence in China, expand cooperation and share in China’s
growth dividends.
