May 30, Singapore — Meng Xiangqing, head of a PLA experts-and-scholars
delegation to the 23rd Shangri-La Dialogue, said Beijing expects China and the
US to implement the leaders' consensus to build a "constructive strategic
stability relationship." He said the consensus should guide future bilateral and
military ties and that both sides should move toward each other to jointly
safeguard regional and global peace and stability.
