Anyang Steel said on May 31 it completed and commissioned an electric heating
furnace for titanium plate at its No.2 hot-rolling unit. The new furnace will
operate in tight coordination with the hot-rolling mill to provide precise,
standardized heating for multiple titanium-plate specifications, address a
process shortfall in high-end titanium rolling and strengthen the company’s
high-end specialty steel product mix.
