Sichuan statistics bureau: 2025 GDP for the Chengdu‑Chongqing twin‑city economy
circle reached CNY 9.0536 trillion, equivalent to 6.5% of national GDP and 30.3%
of the western region—up 0.1 and 0.3 percentage points year‑on‑year. Output grew
5.6% YoY, 0.6 percentage points faster than the national rate. Regional
breakdown: Chengdu GDP CNY 2.4764 trillion (36.6% of Sichuan, 27.4% of the
twin‑city circle); Chongqing main urban area GDP CNY 2.6501 trillion (78.5% of
Chongqing, 29.3% of the twin-city circle).
