Russia's Natural Resources Minister Alexander Kozlov said in an interview ahead
of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum that annual additions to the
country's gold and silver reserves exceed annual mining output and that reserve
replenishment fully covers extraction. Kozlov cited expert estimates putting
2025 gold production at about 480–485 tonnes and silver at 2,600–2,800 tonnes;
2026 gold at 480–500 tons and silver at 2,800–3,000 tons. The forum runs
June 3–6.
