TrendForce says conventional DRAM prices have surged since 2H25 amid tight
supply, and HBM contract pricing—set by an annual negotiation mechanism—has
lagged quarterly market gains. With buyers and sellers negotiating 2027 HBM4
supply in 2Q26, TrendForce expects the three major memory makers to sharply
raise HBM prices in 2027, citing DRAM tightness and the high manufacturing
complexity and costs of both legacy and new-generation HBM.
