Data show China’s cycling user base has exceeded 130 mln. The expanding rider
population has lifted demand for cycling equipment. Store checks indicate
sport-bike sales are steady while cycling gear has emerged as a new growth
driver; design-focused helmets, gloves and cycling apparel are particularly
strong sellers. Domestic cycling-equipment patent filings total 1,058, with
design and utility-model patents accounting for 88.1%.
