At the 16th Songshan Lake China IC Innovation Summit, SmartSens said the global
AI glasses market is shifting from proof-of-concept to scale and could expand
nearly fourfold by 2026, with China growing notably faster than the global
average. SmartSens has launched several dedicated CMOS image sensors for AI
glasses and moved them into mass production. Its second-generation SC1220IOT
features an Always‑On low‑power mode down to 1 mW — over 20% lower power than
comparable products — a package roughly 10% smaller than the prior generation,
supports high‑frame‑rate video up to 12MP@60fps, and retains high dynamic range
with low noise.
