China’s Foreign Ministry said Myanmar’s foreign minister will make his first
visit to China since taking office, following Wang Yi’s late‑April trip to
Myanmar. Beijing said the reciprocal, closely timed visits signal political will
to deepen bilateral ties and expects to discuss expanding cooperation under
China’s four major global initiatives and to secure more pragmatic outcomes in
China–Myanmar cooperation.
