On June 3, Russian presidential press secretary Peskov said at a briefing that
Russia will mount a systematic response to a Ukrainian Armed Forces attack on St.
Petersburg that day. He said the special military operation exists to prevent
such attacks and added that President Putin’s keynote at the St. Petersburg
International Economic Forum will focus on economic issues while also touching
political matters because the two are inseparable in the current situation.
