On June 3, Ukrainian President Zelenskiy said he was willing to begin immediate
direct talks with Russian President Putin, seeking top-level dialogue to
accelerate an end to the Russia-Ukraine conflict and saying Ukraine will not
wait for the US to resolve other global priorities before advancing its own
issues. Russia had no immediate response.
