response to a US strike and said Iran's actions helped prevent an Israeli attack
on Beirut. The statement reaffirmed support for Iran's right to respond to any
violations of its territory and national security, criticized some Gulf states
for allowing US military bases used against regional countries, and accused
those states of supporting foreign forces while portraying themselves as
victims.
