Tencent said WeChat is rolling out an A2A (Agent-to-Agent) assistant capability
with multiple handset makers including Huawei, Honor, Xiaomi and OPPO that lets
the phone’s system voice assistant initiates WeChat audio/video calls or send
messages to contacts. Several manufacturers have completed integration, Tencent
added, and the feature uses an A2A collaboration mechanism with a
dual-authorization process to safeguard data security and privacy. The
partnership aims to embed WeChat’s high-frequency communication functions into
device AI assistants to improve convenience.
