Lebanon, Israel and the US said in a joint statement on the 3rd that Israel and
Lebanon agreed to implement a ceasefire provided HEZBOLLAH fully stops attacks
and withdraws completely south of the Litani River. Israel's defense minister
KATZ said the Washington framework also calls for disarming HEZBOLLAH, removing
its fighters from south of the Litani, keeping the IDF in a "security zone", and
guaranteeing Israel's freedom of action.
