China's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said at a June 4 briefing that
Washington's long-term unilateral blockade and sanctions have severely hurt
Cuba's economy and livelihoods. China firmly supports Cuba's protection of its
sovereignty and security, opposes external interference, and urged the US to
heed international calls and immediately end the blockade, sanctions and
coercive pressure.
