Abu Dhabi International Resources Holding’s Zambian unit, Mopani Copper Mines,
was again awarded the copper largest concentrate export quota under Zambia’s
exemption policy but said it does not plan to export the concentrate. Mopani
said it will allocate the output to its own processing operations to strengthen
domestic refining capacity, a stance unchanged since the first exemptions were
announced in July last year.
