The US Space Force acquisition office said Blue Origin remains eligible to
compete for Pentagon military launch contracts despite last week’s launch-pad
explosion. The agency said the blast occurred during a final pre-launch ignition
test, not a certified flight, and will not disqualify Blue Origin from
certification; the company may still bid in the DoD National Security Space
Launch Phase 3 Lane 2 procurement, directly competing with SpaceX.
