The Israel Defense Forces and the Shin Bet said on the 4th that an evening
airstrike in northern Gaza killed multiple senior members of Hamas’s security
apparatus, including deputy security chief Hassan Labad and senior figures Asim
Shubel, Abdullah Abu Kalub and Muhammad Abu Mak. Units from the IDF’s Southern
Command remains deployed in the area and will continue operations to eliminate
what the military called “direct threats.” Hamas has not yet commented.
