Shanghai, June 3 — China and France held the 11th civil aviation industry
cooperation working group meeting alongside the 4th China‑France Green Aviation
Forum. China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and
France’s transport authorities signed a Secretariat establishment plan to
supplement the existing MIIT–French Ministry for Ecological and Solidarity
Transition memorandum of understanding on civil aviation industry cooperation,
aiming to operationalize follow‑on collaboration. The two sides also signed a
statement of intent to pursue bilateral cooperation in civilian electric
vertical take‑off and landing aircraft (eVTOL), signaling formal exploration of
eVTOL industrial and supply‑chain ties.
