China has harvested 166 million mu of summer wheat, with overall progress near
50%. Provincial pace: Anhui ~90%, Henan >75%, Jiangsu ~40%, Shaanxi >15%,
Shandong >10%; Shanxi and Hebei only scattered harvests. Harvest areas are
mostly hot and dry. Meteorological services forecast significant rain across
much of North China on June 5–6, with heavy rain in southern Hebei and northern
Shandong and locally intense convective storms. Regions are being urged to
strengthen machinery deployment, accelerate harvesting in the pre-rain window
and rain breaks, and use improved post-rain soil moisture to commence timely
machine sowing.
