TIMIRAOS said a reacceleration in spring hiring strengthens the case for Fed
officials worried about inf and who view current rates as too low to curb a new
round of price pressures. He said the jobs report will not settle the debate
over the extent of further tightening later this year, but it further reduces
the near-term case for rate cuts.
