At the St. Petersburg Economic Forum plenum on June 5, Putin called Ukrainian
President Zelenskiy’s recent open letter "rude" and said a meeting now "has no
meaning." He warned that because Ukraine publicized bilateral issues, Russia
would disclose previously undisclosed information. Putin said a Russian
businessman visited Kyiv about three weeks ago; upon returning to Moscow on May
21 the businessman relayed Zelenskiy’s request for talks, and Putin said
Ukrainian drones struck a dormitory in Luhansk region in the early hours of May
twenty two.
